    John E. Krieter III, 61, of Highland, IL, died Monday, September 8, 2014, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Chesterfield, MO.

    John was born July 31, 1953, to John E. and Verna Rae (nee Mount) Krieter, Jr., in Sumter, SC.  On October 19, 1985, he married Netia Haydon in Ann Arbor, MI.

    John was very proud of all of his children, and loved his grandkids,  He loved to fish.  He loved to bowl—and bowled several 300 games.  And, he liked to laugh.

    He is survived by his wife, Netia Krieter, Highland, IL; 3 daughters, Debbra Lynn (Bodrey) Kindopp, Sidney, MT, Mary Ann (significant other, Chris Cook) Krieter, Arlington, TX, Danielle Nicole (Steven) Farley, Highland, IL; 1 son, Trevor John (significant other, Jessica Jacobs) Krieter, Highland, IL; 5 grandchildren, Alex, Braden, Mason, Morgan, Noah; his mother, Verna Reiss, Arcadia, FL; 2 sisters, Rosemary (Tracy) Gaulding, Texas, Patsy Norman, Chicago, IL; 1 brother, Patrick Krieter, Arcadia, FL; several nieces and nephews. 

    He was preceded in death by his father, John E. Krieter, Jr.

    Memorials may be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation and American Heart Association.

    Visitation:  Saturday, September 13, 2014, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Highland Hope United Methodist Church, Highland, IL. 

    Memorial Service:  Saturday, September 13, 2014, at 2:00 pm at Highland Hope United Methodist Church, Highland, IL.
