    Edgar H. ”Brock” Brockhahn, Jr., 72, died Thursday, November 23, 2017, at his residence.

    Brock was born October 31, 1945, to Edgar H. and Maxine (nee Mackey) Brockhahn, Sr., in Belleville, IL. On June 21, 1967, he married Joyce Spanley at United Church of Christ in O’Fallon, IL.

    After 30 years of service, Brock retired from Illinois Power, now Ameren, 12 years ago.

    He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Lebanon, O’Fallon American Legion Post 0137, Scott VFW Post 4183, Local 670, Trustee of Emerald Mound Lebanon Fire District, Lifetime Member of O’Fallon Sportsman’s Club and Lebanon Singers, Past President of Lebanon Jaycee’s and Lebanon Lion’s Club, Past Precinct Four Committee Chairman O’Fallon Township, Honorary Fire Fighter, Founding member of Lebanon Little Dunkers.

    Brock coached about every sport for his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved golfing and fishing and his golfing trips to Indiana, Florida and Tennessee. Brock enjoyed doing his yard work, as well as, his neighbors’ and church.

    He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joyce Brockhahn; children, Ed (Dee) Brockhahn III, Lebanon, IL, Andy (Jessica) Brockhahn, Summerfield, IL; grandchildren, Adam (Tabi) Davidson, Brandon, Kaela, and Aiden Brockhahn; great-grandchild, Jayse Davidson; brothers-in-law, Joe Poole, Lebanon, IL, Gary (Norma) Spanley, Lebanon, IL; sisters-in-law, Linda Spanley, MN, Mary Dickson, NC, Lori (Marvin) Strozier, Lebanon, IL; several nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Maxine Brockhahn, Sr.; daughter, Brandi Ann Brockhahn; mother-in-law, June Spanley; father-in-law, Lawrence Spanley; sister, Jane Ellen Poole; brother-in-law, Lawrence Spanley Jr.; special niece, Shelby Dickson.

    Memorials may be made to Emerald Mound Lebanon Fire District, St. Paul UCC, Heartland Hospice

    Visitation: Monday, November 27, 2017, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 9:00 to 10:00 am, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Lebanon, IL

    Funeral Service: Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 10:00 am, St. Paul United Church of Christ, Lebanon, IL
