DOLORES KLEIN, 89, of Wood River, Illinois, formerly of Johnsonville, Illinois, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2020 at OSF St. Anthony’s Health Center in Alton, Illinois.

Dolores was born November 22, 1930 at St. Louis, Missouri to Joseph and Edna (Lammert) Malon. She married Berthold A. Klein June 24, 1950 at St. Louis, Missouri. He preceded her in death September 17, 1990. She worked in the Safe Deposit Department at the Mercantile bank in St. Louis, Missouri.

Dolores loved sewing, gardening, quilting, and playing board and card games.

Dolores is survived by two sons Kevin (Cassie) Klein of Bethalto, Illinois and Gary (Debbie) Klein of Glen Carbon, Illinois. She is also survived by eight grandchildren Jamie, Brian, Kristyn, Brittany, Dave, Cohl, Larry and Jessica: twenty-five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, daughter and son in-law Diane and Leonard Hug, two grandsons and two brothers.

Graveside services will be Sunday, February 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield, Illinois. There will be no visitation.
