    Carol Ann Satterlee (nee Forrester), 72, of Pocahontas, IL, died Friday, December 6, 2013, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL.

    Carol was born August 3, 1941 to Emery and Ethel (Bryant) Forrester in Alton, IL.

    She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Pocahontas, IL, where she taught Sunday school and was the church treasurer.  She was a former member of the Red Hat Ladies, and a member of the Historical Society in Greenville, IL.  She was also a volunteer at the Pocahontas Grade School.  She was a good Mom and devoted Grandma.  She was the matriarch with strong family orientation.  Her door was always open.  She was generous to a fault.  She was always happy and always fun, and made the people around her happy.

    She is survived by her 4 children, Vickie Nygren, Jackson, CA, Greg (Rhonda) Massey, Greenville, IL, Laura (Jim) Weiss, Pocahontas, IL, Dennis Thacker, Pocahontas, IL; 7 grandchildren, Mike (Tiffany) Rice, James (Ali) Rice, Chris (Neda) Rice, SSgt Ashley Rose Massey, PFC Nicholas (Danielle) Massey, Ashley Weiss, Alisha Weiss; 2 great grandchildren,  Bella Rice and Cadie Rice; 1 brother, Richard Forrester, Highland, IL; 1 sister, Kathy (Roger) Williams, Reno, NV.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Emery and Ethel Forrester; 3 brothers, John Forrester, Doc Forrester, Frank Forrester; 3 sisters, Jeanette Kirbach, Barbara Miller, Judy Keefner.

    Memorials may be made to 1st Baptist Church, Pocahontas, IL or Unity Hospice (Palliative Care)

    Visitation:  Thursday, December 12, 2013, from 10:00-11:00 am at the 1st Baptist Church, Pocahontas, IL.

    Memorial Service:  Thursday, December 12, 2013, at 11:00 am at the 1st Baptist Church, Pocahontas, IL.

    Clergy:  Rev. Craig Ballard

    Burial will be at a later date.
