William E. Emerson

William E. Emerson, 77, of Pocahontas, IL died November 28, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, IL.   He was born in Tennessee on June 1, 1930 to John A. and Lula Mae (Suiter) Emerson, and they are both deceased.  On April 8, 1948 he married Frances A. Bergheger in Pocahontas, Arkansas and she survives.

Also survived by two sons, Steven (Carmen) Emerson of Glen Carbon, IL and William F. (Connie) Emerson of Pocahontas, IL; two daughters, Deborah Greeves and Karen (Dean) Barker, both of Highland, IL; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one brother and five sisters.

Mr. Emerson was a veteran serving in the US Air Force in Japan.  He was a lifelong Teamster and was a truck driver.  He belonged to Teamsters Local #600 of St. Louis, Mo.

VISITATION:  Friday, Nov. 30th from 4:00-8:00 PM at Meridith Funeral Home in Pocahontas, IL and Saturday, Dec. 1st from 8:00 AM until time of service.

FUNERAL SERVICE:  Saturday, Dec. 1st @ 10:00 AM at Meridith Funeral Home, Pocahontas. IL.
