Warren L. Keller, 84, of Lebanon, IL, died Monday, September 23, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville, IL.
Warren was born October 8, 1928, to Horace and Edna (Nee Weaver) Keller, in Schaefferstown, PA. On May 19, 1951, he married Grace Peiffer in Pennsylvania, she preceded him in death on December 18, 1999. On November 29, 2008, he married Joanne Bishop in Lebanon, IL.
He was a member of 1st United Methodist Church, Lebanon, IL. He was a life member and past President of Rotary Club, Lebanon, IL. He was also a member of Discovery Expedition of St. Charles, MO.
In his early years he served in the Merchant Marines for 2 years. Then he served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He retired from United States Air Force Civil Service as an Electronic Engineer, specializing in radar installation and interference. The last several years he has become well known for his re-enactment activities of the Lewis and Clark Expedition of American History.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne Bishop-Keller, St. Charles, MO; 1 son, Ken (Maria) Keller, Schaumburg, IL; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Keller-Ramey, Homewood, IL, Robin Keller, Clearwater, FL, Adam Keller, Omaha, NE.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Edna Keller.
Visitation: Thursday, September 26, 2013, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, IL.
Funeral: Grose Funeral Home in Meyerstown, PA.
Burial: Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery, Mt. Zion, PA with full military honors.
