    Wanda S. Boldman, 92, of Maryville, IL, formerly of Highland, went home to God on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Liberty Village.

    She was born on February 5, 1930, in Chicago, IL, to Walter and May (nee Besak) Waskowski.

    Wanda has lived in many places throughout her life.  She grew up in Chicago, and lived in Western Springs, IL.  While in Western Springs, she was a member of the Downer’s Grove Choral Society.  From there she moved to Mountain Home, AR.  Then she went to Springhill, FL, and back to Mountain Home.  In 2011, Wanda came to Highland, IL, where she lived until 2021, eventually moving to Maryville, IL.  While in Arkansas, Wanda was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and the Red Hat Ladies.  She loved to play the organ and to sing.

    She was a mother to three sons, a grandmother of three boys and three girls, and a great grandmother of two boys and six girls.  Her family meant the world to her.  She was loving, caring, and outgoing, could talk to anyone, and she never met a stranger.

    Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and May Waskowski; her husband, William Boldman; sister, Helen Mann.

    She is survived by her sons, Richard “Rick” Pietruszka, Ronald “Ron” (Lynn) Petruska, Gregory “Greg” (Michele Miller) Petruska; grandchildren, Bradley “Brad” (Mollie Cooper) Pietruszka, Leslie “Les” (Jimi Bleicher) Pietruszka, Eric (Sarah) Petruska, Elizabeth “Beth” (Bryan) Westhaus, Caitlin (Nick Mancinelli) Petruska-Mancinelli, Jon Petruska; great grandchildren, Ophelia “Fi” Pietruszka, Idris “Ish” Pietruszka, Penelope “Pen” Pietruszka, Emilia “Emi” Bleicher, Eliot “Elli” Bleicher, Jack Petruska, Holland Petruska, and Tessa Westhaus.

    Memorial donations may be made to HACSM (Highland Area Christian Service Ministries).

    Memorial Visitation:  Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 10:30 to 11:00 am, Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.

    Memorial Service:  Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 11am, Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.

    Clergy:  Deacon Dave Bohnenstiehl

    Interment:  In Arkansas, at a later date.
