Violet M. (nee Carnell) Swager, 90, Highland, Illinois, died Sunday, March 12, 2017, at her residence.
Violet was born May 23, 1926, to Charles and Delsie (nee Digby) Carnell in Chicago, Illinois. On May 6, 1968, she married William L. Swager in Memphis, Tennessee.
She attended Highland Community Church.
Violet was a big Chicago Cubs fan, but also liked the St. Louis Cardinals. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends.
She is survived by her Son, John Smith, Highland, IL; Extended Family, Steve (Barbara) Ford, Michael (Beth) Ford, Heather and Andrew, Meghan and Ella Grace, Howard (Gwen) Smith.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Charles and Delsie Carnell; First husband, Lloyd Smith; Second Husband, William L. Swager (Mar 28, 1991); Sister, Carleain Ashburn.
Visitation: Monday, March 20, 2017, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, Illinois
