Vanita Jean Fawkes, 90, of Bone Gap, IL passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022, at Richland Nursing and Rehab in Olney, IL.
Vanita was born February 22, 1932, to Ellis Shaw and Mary (Colyer) Shaw at Albion, IL. She married Fred Fawkes September 18, 1954, at Albion, IL. He preceded her in death on May 12, 2009.
Vanita is survived by her daughter, Jana (Gil) Lang of Edgewater, MD; one sister, Veda Polfer of Punta Gorda, FL; two grandsons, Tyler Johnson of Crossville, IL, and Sean Fawkes of Paducah, KY and four great grand-children, Addison, Asher, Lovely and Zion Fawkes.
Vanita was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Ray, and Randy; her husband; and her son Jeff Fawkes.
No funeral services will be scheduled.
Internment at Bone Gap Cemetery.
