Vanessa Ann Burns, 43 of Lebanon, IL died Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO. She was born in Belleville, IL on December 12, 1964 to Robert W. and Lois M. nee Simmons, Burns.
Survivors include two children, Amanda M. Burns, and Devin B. Porter, Lebanon, IL; her Mother, Lois M. Burns, Lebanon, IL; eight brothers and sisters, Lawrence W. Burns, Lebanon, IL; Brenda J. Jordan, Vacaville, Calif; Robert A. Burns, Lebanon, IL; Tyrone E. Burns, Vacaville, Calif; Don R. Burns, Vallejo, Calif, Victor W. Burns, Cahokia, IL; Kathleen M. Appleby, Lebanon, IL; Rita R. Burns, Lebanon, IL; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; Amanda's Godfather, Britt D. Booker, St. Louis, MO; Devin's Father, George Porter, St. Louis, Mo.
Preceded in death by her father, Robert W. Burns, on October 19, 2004.
She graduated from Lebanon High School and Hickey Business College, St. Louis, Mo. She was a Business Analyst working at Nestle-Purina, St. Louis, Mo.
She was a member of Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Lebanon, IL.
Visitation: Wednesday, May 14, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at the Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Lebanon, IL.Funeral: Wednesday, May 14th at 12:00 Noon at the Church. Burial in College Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, IL.
