    VANCE BURTON CARRELL, 65, of Cisne, Illinois passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Cisne Rehabilitation & Health Center.

    Vance was born March 23, 1953 to Rancel E. and Mary Jane (Burton) Carrell at Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

    Vance was a past member of Cisne Christian Church.

    Vance is survived by his mother Mary Jane Carrell and a brother Stanley Carrell both of Cisne, Illinois.  Several cousins also survive.

    Preceding him in death was his father Rancel Carrell.

    Funeral service for Vance Carrell will be 10:00 am, Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 9:00 am to time of service.  Burial will be in Cisne Cemetery.

    Memorials may be given to Pleasant Grove Christian Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.

    Just a note to tell you that I am thinking of you and Stanley. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I was a classmate of Vance’s in our early years……always a kind and courteous soul. I know he will be missed.
