    Timothy A. “Tim” Cera, 55, of Lebanon, IL, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA.

    He was born on February 18, 1969, in Milwaukee, WI, to Alan and Mary Ann (nee Klejsmit) Cera. On October 11, 2023, Tim married Dawn Howard in Las Vegas, NV.

    Tim has lived in Lebanon for the last four years, moving from Mascoutah, and before that, Shiloh, IL. He attended a trade school in Wisconsin for construction after graduating high school. Tim enjoyed fishing, spending time with his wife, and going on vacations. He was a caring father, an awesome husband, and an all-around good person. Tim will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

    He was preceded in death by his father, Alan David Cera, and daughter, Kimberly Renee Cera, in infancy.

    Tim is survived by his wife, Dawn Cera; mother, Mary Ann Kostopsul; daughter, Denise Lynn (Hunter) Varner; stepsons, Nicholas Davis, Daniel Davis; grandsons, Owen, Declan, Spencer; and a sister.

    Memorial donations may be made to Carlyle Lake for the State Fish and Wildlife Area.

    Visitation: Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, and Friday, September 27, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 am, at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL

    Funeral Service: Friday, September 27, 2024, 11:00 am, at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL

    Interment: College Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, IL

    My brother and just a sister, I wish we had a better relationship. I wish our life could go back to when we were happy and spoiled rotten by our parents so long ago. Even though we weren’t close, I love you.
