To the Family of Susan Kroeger: I am so sorry to hear that your Loved One has passed away. I know that all of you will miss her but remember the good times that you had over the years as the memories are so precious. I know that most of all of you don’t know me but I was raised not to far from your Uncle Fred and Aunt Mary and moved away in June, 1959. I might have even met Susan before I left in 1959 but not for sure. I must tell you that I am Marilyn (Shehorn) Tarbutton. Prayers for all of the family. May God bless each one of you and keep you in his loving arms. With my deepest sympathy. Love and blessings Marilyn

I remember Sue from my childhood when she would visit her Aunt Mary and Uncle Fred who were our beloved neighbors. I do wish we would have reconnected when she moved back to this area. My deepest sympathy to all of her family.

      Dear Family,

We want to express our deep sympathy for the loss of your mother and grandmother. Susan was a dear friend and great part of our life in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Her bookstore was a place of beauty, inspiration and community. We were part of the longtime Bookgroup that grew out of the store. We watched you girls grow up and were so proud of all of you. After Susan moved away we continued our friendship through letters. We are heartbroken over her death. There will never be another person like Susan. Love, Roxanne Henkin and Mary Lou Daugherty

I have known Susan from the circle we created together for women spirituality in Downers Grove when she lived here. She was a wonderful spirit full of life and love and laughter and always a good word to put in for everyone. I’ve been in touch with her since she moved by cards and calls, but obviously not close touch since I just learned when her Christmas card was returned and I looked this up on the Internet. My deep condolences to Danielle and Renee. And also love and prayers headed your way. Danielle and Renee, I think you know Melissa Anne and Courtney Douglas from South high. Your mother always spoke so highly of each of you. She would love you dearly!♥️✨
