Steven F. Sandifer, 57, of Highland, IL, died Sunday, March 15, 2015, at his residence with his family by his side.
Steve was born May 10, 1957, to Raymond and Sylvia (nee Tidwell) Sandifer, at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, IL. On May 29, 1982, he married Monny Geary in Greenville, IL.
He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Greenville, IL. He graduated Greenville High School in 1975 and then from SIU Carbondale in 1979, with a degree in Business Admin. He was an insurance marketing specialist and worked with brokers all over the country.
His first love was his family. He enjoyed playing golf, but especially loved competing in all sports against his brothers. He liked to sing karaoke and was very good at it.
He is survived by his wife, Monny Sandifer, Highland, IL; children, Zachry, Morgan, Tanner, and Lexis Sandifer; mother, Sylvia Pierce, Greenville, IL; sister, Dana Trainer, Greenville, IL; brothers, Bruce Sandifer, Greenville, IL, Larry (Debbie) Sandifer, Decatur, IL, Kevin (Debbie) Sandifer, Trenton, IL, Tony (Jean) Sandifer, St. Louis, MO, Tom (Jo) Sandifer, St. Louis, MO, Tim (Donna) Sandifer, Alhambra, IL, and Jeff (Amelia) Sandifer, Edwardsville, IL; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Sandifer.
Memorials may be made to Steve’s Children’s College Education.
