      Stanley “Stan” Zdan Jr. 70, of Cisne, IL. passed Friday, May 27, 2022, at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN.

      Stan was born November 6, 1951, at St. Louis, MO to Stanley Sr. and Ann (Lawson) Zdan.  He married Paula Aissie on September 26, 1980, in Fairfield, IL and she survives.

      Stan was part owner of Cisne Iron Works where he was a steel structural detailer and worked in the fabrication welding shop.  He was involved in local community projects.  Stan had been a member of the Cisne Fire Department, Cisne Village Board, Cisne Reunion Board, Boy Scouts, and Cisne American Legion.  Stan loved to fish.  Stan was in the Navy during the Vietnam War where he was on a submarine for four years.  He was a member of the Cisne Christian Church for twelve years and a member of the Cisne American Legion.

      Stan is survived by his wife, Paula of Cisne, IL; parents, Stanley Sr. and Ann Zdan of Cisne, IL; daughter, Nicole (Richard) Weirich of Cisne, IL and son, Nick (Rachelle) Zdan of Alexandria, VA; three grandchildren, Alana, Aiden, and Azaiah Patridge; a cousin, Debbie Guffey of O’Fallon, MO.

      Stan was preceded in death by a sister Donna.

      Private family services will be held in Florida at a later date.

      A great friend, left me with so many memories .really made working for him something I’ll never forget. He was blessed with a awesome wife Paula,children,mother and father.and grandkids. Will miss him for sure.

      Stan and I served aboard the USS Odax in Key West. I’m sorry to hear about his death.
