I know the sadness you must fell because I fell it to. I can’t express how much she meant to me.
I know what Shirley meant to all of you and this loss comes in many layers of heartache & grief.
The pain I feel now is nothing compared to the joy I found within my memories of my friend.
How lucky we are to have someone so wonderful that it makes saying goodbye so hard.
I will let the memories of the time we shared give me comfort as I know you will.
Our lives seemed to mimic each other’s . LIves celebrations and tragedies, we bonded through
      These times.
Nothing will replace that amazing women. Shirley will remain in my heart forever.

My Lariat Ladies! Friends for life! The best people to work with because we were and always will be a family. We lost Shirley Rose today but we have great memories of love and laughter that will always be with us and so will she! So blessed to have had her loyal friendship, heard her sarcastic biting humor and known her extreme kindness! Love you Shirley! Thank you for being such a good friend!

Shirley once said to me Sam there is always one person in a relationship who loves the other person more and gives more. I’m tellin ya that, huh? That was Shirley. You couldn’t love her more than she loved you! I wish I recorded some of our conversations. I miss hearing her voice. Love and prayers to her family!

Far-away distance and time has never dimmed nor diminished the love and closeness I’ve felt toward my precious cousin, Shirley. Before moving away at 14, it was Shirley, Wayne, and I who were the first-born in our two families and who shared the most time together growing up. I visited often throughout the years. Many years ago, Shirley treated me to a few fun-filled days when she lived in Peoria, After she moved back to Mt. Carmel, and after losing her beloved brother Benny, I returned to Mt. Carmel to visit, hoping that the family’s loss had lessened a little. I stayed with Shirley for a couple days, and every morning I was awakened by the smell of fresh-baked muffins, three different types, and piping=hot coffee. We sat at the table for hours talking, her sharing her love for her family. She felt like my sister, and the love I felt for her was that of close family. Shirley had an enormous heart for her siblings, nieces and nephews, and friends. She was gracious and non-judgmental, and always put others first. I know she is at peace now with her daughter, grandchildren, husband, mom and dad, Benny and Diana. And while I grieve over her loss, I am at peace knowing where she is.
