She was a member of the First Congregational Church and the German Cultural Society. She spoke German fluently and taught her family to speak German. Grandchildren brought friends over and she always had a steady stream of people staying at the house and she loved it. Hospitality was her life. Believe it or not, Shirley also enjoyed her trips on the back of the motorcycle.
Proverbs 31:10: Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
