    Selma M. Landolt, nee Hosto, 86, of Highland, IL died Friday, November 21, 2008 at Faith Care Center, Highland, IL.  She was born in Leaf Twp. near Alhambra, IL on November 24, 1921 to Ben and Ida (Antenen) Hosto.   She married Lloyd B. Landolt on her birthday, November 24, 1943 at Grantfork United Church of Christ, Grantfork, IL by Rev. Arby Hosto.

    In 1943 after her marriage to Lloyd, they moved to Old Ripley Twp in Bond County.  Then in 1998, she and Lloyd moved to Highland, IL.  She loved making quilts, embroidering pillow cases as well as helping on the farm.

    She is survived by her husband, Lloyd B. Landolt of Highland; son-in-law - Daryl (Linda) Diesen of Rural Pocahontas; 2 grandchildren - Brian Diesen of Rural Pocahontas, IL; Amy (John) Markus of Rural Pocahontas, IL and 3 great grandchildren - Britni Diesen, Brenen Diesen & Gage Markus.

    Preceded in death by 1 daughter, Glenna Marie Diesen on June 18, 1982 and 1 brother, Ralph Hosto.

    She was a farming homemaker, and a member of the Grantfork United Church of Christ, Grantfork, IL; the Womens Guild of the Church and had taught Sunday School in her early years.

    VISITATION:  Sunday, November 23, 2008 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Meridith Funeral Home in Highland, IL and on Monday, November 24, 2008 at the Grantfork United Church of Christ, Grantfork, IL from 10:00-11:00 A.M.

    FUNERAL:   Monday, November 24, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Church with the Rev. Nancy Cahalan, Pastor, officiating.   Burial in Grantfork UCC Cemetery, Grantfork, IL.

    Memorials may be offered to the Grantfork United Church of Christ or to the Cemetery.
