- Full Obituary
Scott Edward Freeman, (62), of Troy, IL passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, after a long medical battle with diabetes.
Scott was born on April 20, 1962, in East St Louis, IL. He graduated from O’Fallon Township High School in 1980, where he was in the marching band and a three-sport athlete-football, wrestling and baseball. He also played in league softball.
He worked as an auto mechanic and most recently as the store manager of Plaza Auto Tire in St. Charles, MO. It was his greatest pleasure to meet new people and help them with all their car needs to the best of his ability. This was rewarded with many awards over the years including the highest percentage of sales, email growth, service credit cards and positive reviews. He also was part of the Winner’s Circle which earned him trips to places like Playa del Carmen, Dominican Republic, Amelia Island and Cancun.
His hobbies included all sports, but specifically he loved to hunt, fish and watch the St. Louis Cardinals, St Louis Blues and various football teams. He could quote stats on players and teams without hesitation.
His greatest love was his daughter Sarah. Scott was a member of Bethel Church in Troy, IL.
Scott was preceded by his father, Edwin E. Freeman, his mother, Carolyn F. Freeman and his former wife, Lisa M. Cook. He is survived by his daughter, Sarah A. Freeman of Godfrey, IL, his sister, Donna St. Germain of Freeburg, IL, his brother, Terry Freeman of Sparta, IL, his brothers in law Charles (Cheryl) Jordan of St. Jacob, IL and Timothy (Pamela) Jordan of Highland, IL. Along with the following nieces and nephews: William St. Germain, Sally Schmittling, Ariel Freeman, Alyssa Jordan, Samantha (Chad) Venable. And the following great nephews: Nikita Schmittling, Aiden Venable and Dillon Venable.
Memorial can be made out to Scott Freeman Memorial Fund to assist with Scott’s final expenses and special care/needs for his daughter Sarah. Memorials will be accepted the day of the service or can be deposited at any FCB Bank.
