Scott had many qualities while a State Trooper and he lived all of this while being considerate for everyone he came in contact with. It was certainly my privilege and honor to know him and work side by side. I know he is with Our Lord in heaven and my sympathy goes out to the loving family. Terry Zeisset, Ret. ISP

Gosh, we never anticipated this day so soon. Scott was such a happy man faithfully loving his God, father and mother, his wife and four daughters and sister. I cannot say anything negative about Scott because he was always positive and very happy. Amount his many talents he enjoyed writing songs and performing in his band and fellow officers, we certainly enjoyed him.
Until we meet again ,we will be missing you

I know you understand but, it is hard not being there with all of you. I loved the comfortable camaraderie that Scott and I always had, teasing and chiding each other all the time. Most of all, I loved that he was a real human; faith-filled and honest. Prayers for all of you as you navigate these days and weeks ahead. Much love, sympathy and prayers. Jim & Deanna Harlan

Scott lived down the road from me when I was younger. When I become interested in law enforcement I went and knocked on his door one evening and we ended up talking for about 2 hours. He told many stories and I could tell he loved what he did. Later on while I was in college he helped me get an internship with ISP and even stopped in the district headquarters to see how it was going and invited me up to the ISP academy for a tour. Even though I didn’t end up working for ISP, I really tried to model the professionalism and compassion Scott had for serving his community. He was one of a kind. May god bless and watch over his family.

I and my family are very sad in the passing of Scott. I have known Scott before he entered into high school. He was a wonderful young man and we all admired him and respected him so much for the achievements in his life. A wonderful man and family. My condolences to the family.
