      Rowena Lanora Raber, age 91 of Albion, IL passed from this life to the next on December 24, 2020 at Wabash General Hospital, Mt. Carmel, IL.
      Rowena was born on February 10, 1929 in West Salem, IL to Vane Lloyd and Elma Lanora Mason. She married Leo Henry Raber on May 20, 1944 in Allendale, IL and they thoroughly enjoyed almost 64 years together, until Leo’s passing on March 27, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert N. and Ronald C. Mason.
      Rowena enjoyed being a school cook over the years, but the area that she really excelled in was being a true homemaker. Her wonderful homemade bread, rolls, pies and desserts were family favorites as well as favorites of her many church and neighborhood friends that she welcomed into their home.
      Left with many warm, fun and wonderful memories are her three children: Leon “Butch” (Glenda) Raber of Bellmont, IL, Linda Parker of Olney, IL and Doug (Linda)
      Raber of Albion, IL, her sister, Phyllis Clodfelter of West Salem, IL, sister-in-law, Linda Mason of Sumner, IL, 8 grandchildren: Leon (Victoria) Raber, Jr., Lisa (Ronnie) Cochran, Margie Campbell, Cris (Greg) Edwards, Amy (Ray) Stockton, Emily (L.J.) Zoltan, Jared (Carol) Kitchene, Stacy (Craig) Thompson and Adam (Kate) Raber, 25 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.
      Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 2PM in the afternoon at Graceland Cemetery, Albion.
      Memorials are encouraged to the Edwards County Senior Center and the Bellmont Christian Church.
