Rosemary “Rosie” (nee Petry) Hatton, 83, died Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville, IL.
Rosie was born July 1, 1934, to Edward and Elva (nee Carrillon) Petry, in Summerfield, IL. On July 21, 1954, she married Glenn Plocher in Highland, IL; this marriage ended in divorce. On June 28, 1975, she married William “Bill” Hatton.
She was a member of Grace Community Baptist Church in Trenton, IL. She worked at Walmart for 31 years. Rosie never met a stranger, very outgoing, and would have helped anyone. She enjoyed having lunch with her friends and travelling with her daughter.
She is survived by her Daughter, Sandy Plocher, Germantown, IL; Stepson, Steve (Debbie) Hatton, Alhambra, IL; Grandchildren, Justin (fiancé, Jessica Wrigley) Hatton and Jared (fiancé, Alanna Steinmann) Hatton; Sister, Imogene “Jean” Holtgrave, Highland, IL; Brother, Edward “Pete” (Pat) Petry, Proctor, TX; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Elva Petry, Husband, Bill Hatton (Nov 11, 1987), Daughter, Judy Lynn Plocher (at birth), 1st Husband, Glenn Plocher (Oct 11, 1994); Sister, Bernetta Frey.
