    Rosemary Parker age 89 of Benton formerly of Pulaski, Illinois passed away at 2:00 am Friday, November 16, 2018 at the Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

    Rosemary was born February 25, 1929 in Mounds, Illinois to the late Ralph and Bessie (Mize) Cruse. She was a housewife and homemaker.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Evelyn Cruse; husband, Harold D. Parker on December 12, 1988; a son, Richard “Rick” Parker in 1981; four sisters, Marguerite Rocha, Ruth Chancy, Ann Rodgers, and Irene Beard; a brother, Donald Cruse; and a granddaughter, Terri (Heilig) Palmer.

    Survivors include three daughters, Karen (Jack) Heilig of Pocahontas, Illinois, Pam Parker of Shiloh, Illinois, and Lori (Daniel) Addis of Benton, Illinois; grandchildren, Jason Heilig, Jackie Mueller, Deanna Parker, Richard “Ricky” Parker, Darren Parker, Kelly Albertina, Connor Smith, Krystin Cusick, and Derek Oliver; numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

    Friends may call Sunday between 11 am and 1 pm at the Meridith Funeral Home in Pocahontas, Illinois where funeral services will begin at 1 pm with Bob Cruse officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 1 pm Monday at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Pulaski, Illinois.

    Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorials to First Baptist Church in Pocahontas, Partners for Pets in Troy, or to the Rose Hill Cemetery in Pulaski in memory of Rosemary Parker.
