      Ronald “Ron” G. Emerson, 66, of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Highland Healthcare Center, in Highland, IL.

      He was born on September 1, 1957, in East St. Louis, IL, to Leroy and Pauline (nee Johnson) Emerson.

      Ron was a United States Army Veteran, who served as a Medical Specialist from 1976 – 1977.

      He spent his career as a commercial truck driver and a skilled mechanic, roles in which he took immense pride. Beyond his professional life, Ron had a passion for kickboxing and was an active member of the International Kuntaw Federation.

      In his leisure time, Ron found joy in the simplicity of fishing and the thrill of riding his motorcycle. However, above all else, Ron cherished his family. He was a treasured husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

      He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jacqueline “Jackie” Emerson; parents, Leroy and Pauline Emerson; siblings, Debbie Leslie, Kenny Emerson, Rory Emerson.

      Ron is survived by his second wife, Michelle “Shelly” Behrman; children, Barbara Emerson, Christopher Beston, Ronald (Megan) Emerson, Crystal Emerson; step-children, Andria, Ashely; grandchildren, Tristan, Trevor, Dakota, Sofia, Saphira, CJ, Bryce, Darion Angel, Lilly, Henry, Zadyn; sister, Janette Emerson; nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.
