Ronald Patton, 65, of New Douglas, IL, died November 16, 2009 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. He was born November 25, 1943 in Belleville, IL to Richard W. and Rohma (nee Wisely) Patton. He married Sharon Nickels on November 25, 2000 in Vandalia, IL.
He was a member of Bethel-Baptist Church in Vandalia. He worked as a General Contractor on Construction. He enjoyed working on computers and loved his dog, Prancer.
Survived by his wife, Sharon Patton, New Douglas, IL; four children, Robin Patton, Dupo, IL; Rodney Patton, Sharpsberg, N.C.; Crystal (Tracey) Goodin, St. Elmo, IL; Tina Sprague, Vandalia, IL; Mother, Rohma F. Patton; brothers and sisters, Bill (Sharon) Patton, Oakdale, IL; Connie McCain, Breese, IL; Rick Patton, Oakdale, IL; Tamela (Dennis) Loos, Belleville, IL. Three grandsons, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard W. Patton.
MEMORIAL VISITATION: Saturday, November 21, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Highland Hope United Methodist Church, Highland, IL.
MEMORIAL SERVICE:: Saturday, November 21, 2009 @ 4:00 p.m. at the Church with Rev. Dan Perry, Pastor, officiating.
