Rolland J. "Hoolie" Hoolihan, 81, of Lebanon, IL, died July 11, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville, IL. He was born in Granite City, IL on February 14, 1928 to John and Henrietta (nee Mamie) Hoolihan. He married Betty L. Brant on December 4, 1948 at St. Paul Parsonage, in Lebanon, IL.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Hoolihan, Lebanon; 2 sons - Gary (Candi) Hoolihan, Belleville, IL; Craig Hoolihan, Trenton, IL; 7 Grandchildren - Chris (Paula) Hoolihan - Belleville, IL; Suzanne (Kyle) Stephens - Belleville, IL; Shannon Hoolihan - Collinsville, IL; Stacey Hoolihan, Belleville, IL; Sharolynn (Darryl) Tyler - Collinsville, IL; Craig Hoolihan, St. Louis, MO; Jesse Hoolihan, Lebanon, IL; 5 Great Grandchildren; 3 Brothers - John Hoolihan, Robert Hoolihan and Donald (Sharon) Hoolihan, all of California; 1 Sister - Betty Ellen Hoolihan - Fairview Hgts, IL; 1 Brother-in-Law - Donald Surgeon, Calif; 1 Daughter-in-Law - Brenda Hoolihan, Lebanon, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 son Randy Hoolihan; 1 Sister - Pauline Surgeon; 1 Brother, Patrick Hoolihan.
Mr. Hoolihan was a carpenter by trade, and was a 40-year employee of the Meyer Funeral Home and Furniture Store; and served on volunteer Fire Dept. for several years.
He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Lebanon, IL.
VISITATION: Wednesday, July 15 at St. Paul UCC, Lebanon, IL and Thursday, July 16 from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M.
FUNERAL: Thursday, July 16, 2009 at the Church at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Dr. Don Wagner, Pastor, officiating. Burial in College Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, IL.
