      Robert E. “Butcher” Cline, 67, of Geff, IL. passed away December 28, 2022, at Linda White Hospice House in Evansville, IN.

      Robert was born March 6, 1955, to Gene and Helen (Barbre) Cline in McLeansboro, IL. He married Trena Davis on August 9, 1975, in Fairfield, IL. She preceded him in death on August 4, 2020.

      Robert worked as a butcher for most of his life and he loved it. In the mid 1990’s he started driving a truck. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He liked to hunt, fish and ride his motorcycle. He was a member of the Wayne County Coon Hunters Club and Christian Motorcycle Association. He attended Life Fellowship Church of God in Fairfield, IL.

      Robert is survived by his daughter Robyn (Brad) Adcock of Fairfield, Il. one son Les (Hannah) Cline of Cisne, IL. son-in-law Ian Vanhorn of Geff, IL. Also surviving are nine grandchildren Raya (Dane) Horton, Mylee Adcock, Isabella Cline, Antenella Cline, Gabriella Cline, Paisley Cline and Weston Cline, Peyton Vanhorn and Jaylea, Vanhorn; also surviving are three brothers Gary Cline, Billy (Laura) Cline, Roy Dale (Shelly) Cline, two sisters Becky (Dave) Bearse, Edna (Jimmy) Hale, sister-in-law Vicky Cline and several nieces and nephews.

      Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Trena Cline; daughter, Dusti Vanhorn; brothers, Wesley Cline, Joe Cline; and sister-in-law Brenda Cline.

      Celebration of Life Service: Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 4:00 P.M at Life Fellowship Church of God in Fairfield, Il.
