Robert E. ‘Bob’ Porterfield, 75, of Mt. Erie, IL passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN.
Bob was born November 20, 1946, at Mt. Erie, IL to Darwin E. and Ila Ruth (Hendricks) Porterfield. He was never married.
Bob taught Physical Education, Health, Home Room, and coached sports at Cisne Middle School for thirty-two years. He enjoyed hunting, coaching, being around kids, and watching sports. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Bob is survived by his mother Ila Ruth Porterfield of Mt. Erie, IL; one sister Junanne (Rich) Cisne of Lewisburg, TN; two brothers Billie Joe (Sharon) Porterfield of Washington, IL, and Keith (Kathy) Porterfield of Fairfield, IL; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his father Darwin E. Porterfield.
Visitation: 5:00pm – 7:00pm Friday, March 25, 2022, at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home, Cisne, IL.
Funeral Service: 10:30am Saturday, March 26, 2002, at the funeral home.
Burial: McKendree Cemetery near Mt. Erie, IL.
Memorials: Cisne Middle School Athletics and will be accepted at the funeral home.
