    Rita A. Barth, (nee Frisse) 84, of Highland, IL died February 26, 2010 at her residence.  She was born October 20, 1925 in Pierron, IL to Emil and Laura (nee Knebel) Frisse.  She married Joseph O. Barth on June 3, 1947 at St. Paul's Church in Highland, IL.

    Rita is survived by her husband, a daughter, Ruth

    Ann Kehrer-(Edward) Skingley of Highland; two sons, David M. (Debra) Barth, Highland and Robert J. (Gemma) Barth of Oak Brook, IL; two sisters, Marion Elbus, Mt. Sterling, IL and Wilma Tabor, Marine, IL; 13 Grandchildren - John (Lisa) Kehrer, Columbia, IL; Michael Barth, Glen Carbon, IL; Jennifer R. Barth, Highland, IL; Christopher, Eric, Laura, Ryan, Rebekah, Daniel, Anna, Melissa, Jonathan and Benjamin Barth, all of Oak Brook, IL.  3 Great Grandchildren, Sabrina, Mia and Olivia Kehrer, Columbia, IL.  Several Nephews and Cousins.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother in infancy, brothers-in law, Cyril Elbus, and Vincent Tabor, and son-in-law, Edward C. Kehrer.  Rita was a member of St. Paul Church, Highland, and St. Anne Altar Society.

    Rita graduated from St. Paul Catholic High School in Highland, IL.  In her early years, she worked for Donald Chilcote, Inc., in St. Louis, MO as a policy writer.  Later when the children were in school she worked part-time for Highland Motors, then E F Express and retired after 42 years.  She and her husband operated a farm south of Highland.

    MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL:  TUESDAY, MARCH 2, 2010 AT 10:00 A.M. AT ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, HIGHLAND, IL WITH REV. CHARLES A. EDWARDS OFFICIATING.  BURIAL IN ST. JOSEPH CEMETERY, HIGHLAND, IL.
