      A celebration of life open house will be held at The Sand Trap Banquet Room in Gibson City, IL, on February 28th, 2016 from 2:00 to 5:00pm.

      Richard A. (Ricky) Smith, at 50 years old, took his last breath in the morning of February 16th, 2016, at his home in Pocahontas, IL, after battling renal and liver failure.

      Ricky was born April 28, 1965 in Chicago. Ricky’s childhood home was in Orland Park and he graduated from Victor Andrew High School in Tinley Park, IL. He lived a majority of his life with best friend, Allison Walker, in central Illinois. Ricky enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Ricky loved baking cakes for family birthdays, collected holiday Barbie dolls, and liked sunflowers. Ricky's favorite holiday was Halloween and often kept decorations up year round.

      He is survived by his mother, Pearl (Glenn) Morris of Roberts, IL; sisters, Kimberly (Debbie) Sharp of Pocahontas, IL, Angela Thompson of Urbana, IL, and Laura (Josh) Kinney of LeRoy, IL; brothers, David Morris of Melvin, IL, and Glenn Michael Morris of Roberts, IL.  Ricky is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews, and 2 great nieces and nephews.

      Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Richard L. Smith, and his long time best friend, Allison Walker.
