Phyllis Jean Nuebling, nee Schulte, 84, of Lebanon, IL died June 5, 2009 at St. Joseph Hospital, Breese, IL. She was born in Aviston, IL September 11, 1924 to Leo C. and Laura P. (Lipsmeier) Schulte.
Survived by two children -- Stephen (Laura) Nuebling, Oakville, MO; Barbara Schultz - Collinsville, IL; two grandsons - Gary Schultz and Steve Schultz -- both of Collinsville, IL, one niece - Brian Pijot - Highland, one nephew - Carl (Sandy) Schulte - Troy, IL; one niece-in-law - Gayle Leiber - Freeburg, two great nephews - Frank Leiber, Belleville, IL; Christopher Leiber, O'Fallon, IL
Preceded in death by her parents; one brother Vernon Schulte; Sister, Marcella Leiber, Sister-in-law - Eva Schulte, two Nephews - Craig Schulte and Paul E. "Duke" Leiber.
She was a Sec'y-Bookkeeper at Scott AFB during WWII for 6 years; St. Clair County Courthouse - 5 years; Dental Assistant for Dr. Maskal - 2 years; Sec'y-Bkpr - CEFCO Hatchery, Inc. many years, and Office Manager Century 21 in O'Fallon, IL for 21 years.
A Member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lebanon, IL; Ladies Altar Society; Quilt of Month Club; Quilting Group at St. Joseph Church helping with Card Parties; Past member Senior Citizens and Secretary for many years and President for at least one; She also helped organize school Class Reunions for many years.
She was a very loving, kind, strong person who raised her children on her own.
VISITATION: Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Meyer Funeral Home from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
FUNERAL: Wednesday, June 10 at 10:00 Mass at St. Joseph Church, Lebanon, IL with Fr. Steve Humphries officiating, and burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lebanon, IL. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lebanon, IL.
