Paul Heilig, 61, of Highland, IL, died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, IL.
Paul was born October 17, 1951, to Robert F. and Betty L. (Nee Weaver) Heilig, Sr., in E. St. Louis, IL.
He liked to fish, tell jokes and stories and just talk. He was a caregiver to his girlfriend before she died. He loved his animals.
He is survived by 2 brothers, Richard (Angie) Heilig, James Heilig; nephews, Michael (Brandi) Tomlin, Ed (Sonnie) Tomlin, Austin Langenhorst; nieces, Alicia Heilig, Melinda Langenhorst, Chelsie Langenhorst; great-nephews, Noha Tomlin, Eli Tomlin, Brandon Tomlin, Chandler Ciszczon, Jacob Reeves, Dayton Gartee; great-nieces, Michella Tomlin, Cheyanne Sullivan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert F. and Betty L. Heilig; 1 brother, Robert Frank Heilig, Jr.; his life partner, Sherrie Rust; 1 nephew, Eric Heilig.
