      Paul “Bud” William VanMatre, 73, went home to his final resting place at his residence in Bellmont, IL on Saturday, November 6, 2021.

      He was born on December 12, 1947, in Vincennes, IN to Teddy J. and Dorothy E. (Schultz) VanMatre. He married Tina (Parker) Cullison on February 27, 1989, in Henderson Kentucky. They shared 32 years together and she survives.

      Paul served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam war. From there he worked at various jobs and was a jack of all trades. Paul wasn’t one for being idle and could always be found working on small engines. He never knew a stranger and loved his family very much. He will be missed.

      Left to cherish Paul’s memory is his wife Tina VanMatre, sons; Micheal (Roxanna) Vanmatre, Marty (Vanessa) VanMatre, Brandon (Ronda) Cullison, Tim and (Dawn) Banks, Thomas (Angela) Tougaw, daughters; Rachel Patterson, Heather Bobbitt, Penny and (Robert) McCloud, siblings; Rose and (Richard) Fesler, Carolyn Faughn, 37 grandchildren; Kyle, Zachary, Trevor,

      Taylor Renea, Nathaniel, Hannah, Thomas, Mariah, Willam, Savannah, Shaylee, Owen, Derek, Sara, Hayleigh, Heaven, Hayden, Dillyn, Landen, Ryan, Quinnleigh, Bailei, Benjamin, Aryn Jayde, Kieri, Skylar, Taylor Ray, William, Megan, Dylan, Stephanie, Nicholas, Cameron, Jeffrey, Courtney, Travis, Jeff, twenty great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, great and great-great, Dear friends that have helped so much, Jerry Stoneberger, Steve Rigg and Randy Rigg.

      He was preceded in death by his parents Teddy J. and Dorothy E. (Schultz) VanMatre, infant son Kyle Wayne and grandson Brice and Quinton

      There will be no services.

      Ingram-Meridith Funeral Home, Albion, IL.

      My condolences to my Fathers side of the Family! I greatly regret not knowing him as well as maybe I could have. I give God gratitude that I was able to see him before his time came! Peace be to his family and friends who knkw him to be a stuborn, handsom, and wonderful husband, father, and grandfather!💖😭

      Bud was a good man . He always had a smile on his face . I didn’t see you very often cousin but when I did you always had a kind word or something funny to say. I will miss those chance meetings. Prayers to all the family. RIP Bud.

      I worked with Bud for a few years , the man could fix anything. I learned so much from him we haven’t seen each other much in the past few years
      He was a good man going to miss him
