Patsy J.” Patty” Root, 88, of Bone Gap, IL passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Oakview Nursing and Rehab, Mt. Carmel. IL. She was born September 10, 1933, to Samuel and Garnet (Morgan) Fitzgerrel in Keensburg, IL.
Patsy married Herschel Root in Fairfield, IL on August 29, 1953.
She was a homemaker and loved her family very much. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Patsy enjoyed doing crafts and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Garnet Fitzgerrel, her husband, Herschel Root, daughter, LaDonna Root
Patsy is survived by son, Greg (Linda) Root of Bone Gap, IL; grandchildren Samuel Root, Brandy (Fiancée’ Robert), Iles; great-grandchildren Alicia, Justin and Amaria.
Per her wishes she will be cremated, and a private service will be held at the Bone Gap Cemetery at a later date.
