Neva D. Hilliard, 93, of Cisne, Illinois passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 at Cisne Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.
Neva was born in Cleveland, Oklahoma. April 20,1927 to Hugh and Lillie Shields Carr. She graduated from High School in Blackburn, Oklahoma. During the oil boom she and her mother moved to Cisne, Illinois. Neva worked at Obrecht’s Department Store. Neva married Carl Hilliard in May 1948. They lived west of Geff most of their married life. She also worked at Cisne Manor as the Activity Director and loved making quilts. She and Carl enjoyed working in the Geff Ruritan Club and Geff Frontier Days. Neva was a great cook, loved feeding her family and anyone who stopped by.
Neva was a member of the Oak Valley Free Will Baptist Church at Geff, Illinois and after moving to Cisne in 1996 she attended the Cisne Christian Church.
Neva is survived by her son, Doug (Pat) Hilliard of Cisne, Illinois; two granddaughters Stacey (Steve) Walker of Cisne, Stephanie Osborne of Flora, Illinois; she is also survived by five great grandchildren MaCallie (Kyle) Robson, Carter (Ashton) Walker, Gideon Walker all of Geff, Illinois, Mattie and Emma Osborne both of Flora, Illinois. and one great-great grandchild Graham Robson; one sister-in-law Wilma Yates of Fairfield, Illinois.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, two brothers Zenna and Zenith Jones, two sisters Vivian Walters and Vola Rogers.
Funeral services will be held Friday February 12, 2021 at I:00 PM at Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home in Cisne, Illinois.
Visitation will be held Friday February 12, 2021 from noon to 1:00 PM at the funeral home
Burial will follow in Cisne Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Oak Valley Church or Cisne Christian Church. Memorials will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home PO Box 418 Cisne, Illinois.
