Nancy Misegades, 84, of rural Marine, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021, at her home.
She was born February 24, 1937, to Milton R. & Muriel J. (nee Bollinger) Neel in E. St, Louis, IL. Nancy resided in E. St. Louis as a child and graduated from High School there. On May 21, 1955, she married James G. “Jack” Misegades Jr., in Vandalia, IL.
In 1964 Nancy and Jack moved to their farm, Brier Bank Farm, on Pocahontas Rd. Nancy helped manage Jack’s contracting business and the family’s equestrian stable at the farm. She was a long-time member and pianist at Highland Community Church, enjoyed sailing with her family and was a very accomplished cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents, M. Robert & Muriel Neel; and husband, Jack Misegades Jr.
Nancy is survived by her children, N. Gay (Roy) Anderson and James Garde (Tina) Misegades III, both of Marine, IL; grandchildren, David J. (Chanda Mills) Anderson, Michelle M. Misegades and Lauren L. Anderson; great grandsons, James D., and Jepson Mills.
