Milton L. “Milt” Bieser, 91, of Edwardsville, IL, formerly of Highland, IL, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital, Highland, IL.
Milt was born July 2, 1920, to George and Augusta (nee Koester) Bieser, in Dolle Township, Jefferson County, MO. On April 20, 1941 he married Doris H. Zimmermann in Warrenton, MO, who died Jan. 1, 2004. On Dec. 18, 2004 he married Wilma Kuhn, who survives.
Milt was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ, Highland, IL. He owned and operated Square Deal Sales and Service, Highland, IL, and opened and operated Skaters Paradise in 1952, Highland, IL. He was a member of Woodmen of the World, Highland, IL. He liked to play cards with his family, liked to work on motors, and just loved working in general.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Kuhn-Bieser, Edwardsville, IL; 1 daughter, Margo (Robert) Buehne, Highland, IL; 3 grandchildren, Brian (Vicky) Buehne, Deb (Lindell) Hilling, Lisa (Fred) Michael; 7 great-grandchildren, Trevor (Anne) Nickerson, Taylor Nickerson, Allison Buehne, Madeline Michael, Michael Buehne, Emily Michael, William Michael; 1 great-great-grandchild, Olivia Nickerson; 1 niece, Betty Pacatte.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Augusta Bieser; his first wife, Doris Bieser; 1 daughter, Margaret Hundsdorfer; and 3 sisters.
