    Michael Mayer, 66, of Keyesport, IL, died Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at home with his family by his side.

    Mike was born October 28, 1954, to David and Teressa (nee Dipple) Mayer in E. St. Louis, IL.  He married Julie Bullard on February 6, 2021.

    Mike was a dedicated auto worker, working at the Ford plant for many years.  An avid outdoorsman, he loved camping and hunting.  Mike’s charismatic personality always made him a joy to be around.  His family meant the world to him, and he always enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Teressa Mayer; 2nd wife, Linda Mayer; siblings, David Mayer and Georgianna Seibert.

    Mike is survived by his wife, Julie Mayer, Keyesport, IL; children, Kenny Mayer, Michele (Scott) Henkhaus, Chad (Erin) Self, Roxanne (Brian) Walla, Kendall Johnson, Katherine (Kami) Johnson; grandchildren, Lauren Bozsa, Lindsay Mayer, Blake Walla; sister, Kathy Miller; nieces and nephews, Joseph Seibert, David Mayer, Andrew Mayer, Michael Miller, Melissa Miller, Matthew Miller; great niece and nephews, Carter, Aria, & Caspian; 1st wife Bonnie Mayer; and many loving friends.

    Visitation:  Friday, October 8, 2021, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.

    Funeral Service:  Friday, October 8, 2021, 6:00 pm, Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.

    Clergy:  Pastor Ron Habermehl

    Interment:  At a later date

    So sad lost both of you within 7 months. Hope you and Butch are running around hunting together and reminiscing.
