Maxine R. Frizzell, 74, of Collinsville, IL, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022, peacefully at her home.

She was born on November 3, 1947, to Joseph and Emma (nee Stark) Dadara, in East St. Louis, Illinois. Maxine was a life-long resident of Collinsville and graduated from Collinsville High School in 1965. She married James “Randy” Frizzell on August 1, 1986, in St. Louis, MO.

Maxine loved to cook, her specialty was baking phenomenal pies, of which she would bake 13 each year for Thanksgiving. She enjoyed fishing and camping in Nashville, IL with Randy, and her family. She loved going to her grandchildren’s sporting events and attended as many as she could. In her free time, she enjoyed watching television, and playing solitaire on her tablet, she was a solitaire expert. She also adored her pet parakeets and took pride in caring for them. Maxine was a very strong woman, loving mother, and a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Emma Dadara; loving husband of 33 years, James “Randy” Frizzell; brother, Dennis Dadara; grandson, Brett Burris.

Maxine is survived by her daughters, Kelly (Tom) Lucas, Susan Burris, Shawn (John) Reynolds, Shannon (Richard) Adams; grandchildren, Jenna Lucas, Ty Lucas, Crystal (Ian) Heimback, Jimmy Reynolds, Sara Gillis, Amber (Adam Wood) Adams; great-grandchildren, Lexington, London, Issac, Lillyann, Brinley, Zola; nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.

Memorials may be made to Partners for Pets Humane Society, or Family Hospice of Belleville.

Visitation: Tuesday, October 4, 2022, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, at Kassly-Meridith Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL.
