Maureen A. Kaimann, 84, of Collinsville, IL., passed away Wednesday, January, 25, 2023, peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born June 13, 1938, to Thomas J. and Gertrude Geneva (nee Hawks) Murphy, in Flint, MI. She married the love of her life, Paul B. Kaimann on October 19, 1957, in Collinsville, IL.

Maureen’s family moved to Collinsville in the 40’s when she was just a little girl. She attended Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic School and graduated from Collinsville High School. Through this skill she was able to create clothes for her children growing up, and she even made her own wedding dress. Maureen loved to cook and decorate cakes for special events and her children’s birthdays. She passed down all of her knowledge and skills to her children, including hunting for doves, rabbits, and quail.

Maureen loved being a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also an avid lover of animals, always having bunnies, cats, dogs, or chickens around. Maureen loved her family and those around her. She was friendly, outgoing, very caring and would help anyone in need. She was a treasured wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas J. and Gertrude Geneva Murphy; brother, Ian Murphy; brother-in-law, Donald Lyerla.
