    Mary E. Baer, 87, died June 10, 2010, at Cape Albeon Assisted Living in St. Louis, MO.  She was born May 29, 1923 to John and Martha (Nee Camp) Baer, in Lebanon Township south of Lebanon, IL.

    Mary earned her BS in Nursing at Washington University School of Nursing in 1946.  She then joined the U. S. Army Nurse Corp.  In 1952 she started teaching at Washington University School of Nursing until 1956, when she went to St. Lukes School of Nursing, earning her M. S. in Nursing from Washington University while at St. Lukes.  She retired from St. Lukes School of Nursing in 1980.

    She was a member of St. Louis Mennonite Fellowship in St. Louis, MO.

    She is survived by one sister, Ruth (H. Gordon) Lynch, Valley Park, MO; two nephews, John F. (Kathleen) Lynch, Webster Groves, MO, and Daniel Lynch, Jefferson City, MO; Great-nieces and nephews, Ashley, Aaron, Karl, and Hollee.

    She was pre-ceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Marlin Baer.

    Visitation: Friday, June 11, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, IL, and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

    Funeral: Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, IL, with Pastor Samuel Voth Schrag, Pastor First Mennonite Fellowship, St. Louis, MO

    Interment: Summerfield Cemetery, Summerfield, IL

    Memorials may be made to St. Louis Mennonite Fellowship, St. Louis, MO.
