Mary Ann West, 77, of Albion, IL passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Linda E. White Hospice House, Evansville, IN.

She was born May 29, 1943, to Claudie Earl and Sara Mae (Tetrick) Speir, in Albion, IL.  She married Charles Leroy West on January 17, 1964 at the Free Methodist Church in Albion, IL.

Mary was a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother and the "Rock that held her family together".  She loved to sew and hangout with her morning coffee gang.  Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light in her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claudie Earl and Sara Mae Speir; husband, Charles Leroy West; grandson, Brody Carlson; nephew, Austin Speir; brothers and sisters, Fred Speir, Martha Johnson, Marge Longbons, Lawrence Speir, Leroy Speir.

She is survived by her children, Sherry (Matt Bailey) Giese,  Laura (Dennis) Meyer, Brad (Christina) West; grandchildren, Chase (Lindsey) Giese, Shayla Giese, Tyce (Jessica) Carlson, Taner (Kelcy) Carlson, Trenton (Fiancée’, Abigail Anderson) West, Zachary West, Bree Peach; great-grandchildren, Braylon and Benson Giese, Aleah, Hadley and Emersyn Carlson, Everli and Ansli Carlson; brothers and sisters, Anita (John) Downer, Marilyn Longbons, Nancy (Greg) Nelson, Neil Speir, Norma (Dave) Buckles, Howard (Janette) Speir; many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Bethel Cemetery, Ellery, IL.

Due to COVID 19 Social distancing is suggested and face mask will be worn.
