Marjorie Jene "Marge" (nee Dawes) Freshour, 90, born October 7, 1927, in Lebanon, Il., passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Aviston Countryside Manor, Aviston, IL.
Marge was a lifelong resident of Lebanon. She taught primary grades in Lebanon Elementary School for several years before becoming a dedicated substitute teacher for many years after the births of her two children. Together with her husband, Will, they owned and operated Lebanon Drug Company from 1960 until their retirement in 1995. In retirement, Marge greatly enjoyed her years in the Florida Keys with her husband until his death in 2006. She will be remembered for her great love for her husband and his music; her enthusiasm for gardening and painting; and her devotion to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Freshour, whom she married on August 20, 1950; her parents, Earl and Myrtle (nee Davis) Dawes; and her brother-in-law, Dr. W.C. Missey.
Surviving are her sister, Virginia Dawes Missey, of Chesterfield, MO; a daughter, Martha (Dennis) Korte of Lebanon, IL, a son, Robert (Trina Gaut) Freshour of Lebanon, IL; four grand daughters, Sarah Korte of St . Louis, MO, Lauren (Keith) Trahan of Lebanon, IL, Melinda Freshour of Lebanon, IL and Rebecca (Brian) Hepfer of Lebanon, IL; and a great grandson, Samuel Rhys Hepfer.
