    Marilyn A. Meyer, 87, of Lebanon, died Friday, November 17, 2017, in Sarasota, FL.

    Marilyn was born May 12,1930, to Othmar and Mathilda “Tillie” (nee Corpstein) Meyer, in Lebanon, IL. On March 23, 1988, she married Marvin Englert under the St. Louis Arch.

    She was a lifelong resident of Lebanon and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. As a daughter of Ott and Tillie Meyer, Marilyn helped out in both the Meyer Funeral Home and Furniture Store until the funeral home was sold in 1990. She was a career Civil Servant who worked in Kansas City, MO and at Scott AFB.

    Marilyn was devoted and attentive to family. She was among the most caring and unselfish people, helping and being a caregiver and friend to many. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, and working with Marv in the yard. Together they delighted in traveling, and taking long walks regularly in the early morning, through McKendree’s campus and around town.

    She is survived by her niece, Kristi (David) Jasik, Sarasota, FL; nephews, Keith (Karen) Jones, Lawrence KS and Jeffrey (Lisa) Jones, Ft. Myers, FL; an aunt, Dolores Hammel, Lebanon, IL; several great-nieces and nephews and several Cousins.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Ott and Tillie Meyer; husband, Marv Englert; brother, Bob Meyer; sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Charles Jones.

    Memorials may be made to House of Fellowship, Sarasota, FL, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lebanon, IL and Tidewell Hospice, Sarasota, FL

    Visitation: Tuesday, December 5, 2017, from 9:00 to10:00 am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lebanon, IL.

    Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lebanon, IL.
