    Lynn (nee Weisenberger) Palenchar, 77, died Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Highland Health Care.

    Lynn was born August 15, 1943, to Robert and Patricia (nee Corrigan) Weisenberger, in Cleveland, Ohio.

    Lynn enjoyed traveling and she was a big fan of the “Great American Road Trip.” Her adventures led her to visit the 48 states as well as Canada and Mexico. During her many travels, she liked to visit lighthouses around the country. Her favorite was Marble Head Lighthouse on Lake Erie in Ohio.

    She also enjoyed playing bingo and collecting lighthouses, elephants, and porcelain dolls. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Cleveland Browns fan. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed by many.

    She is survived by her children, Donna (Randy) Meador, Virginia, Debbie Palenchar, Georgia, Dan (Sarah) Palenchar, Highland, IL, and David (Lauren) Palenchar, Highland, IL; grandchildren, Mollie, Mandi, Mark, Alex, Courtney, Rae, Zack, Hollie, Eli, Camryn, Charlie, Zelda, David, Devin, Elysia, Emmalea, Liam; 10 great grandchildren and one on the way; 4 nieces; sister-in-law, Patti.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Patricia Weisenberger; daughter, Pam (in infancy); grandson, Matthew Miller; brother, Bob Weisenberger.

    Memorials may be made to Partners 4 Pets.

    Visitation: Monday, December 28, 2020, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.

    Funeral Service: Monday, December 28, 2020, 4:00 p.m. at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.

    Burial at a later date.

    Marie and I are so sorry to hear about Lynn‘s passing. I would’ve come to the visitation if it were not for Covid. I don’t feel that I can take a chance and go out since we have not been going out very much except to the grocery store.
