Leona Moss (nee Lukachik), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012, at the age of 89, in Kirkwood, MO.
She was born October 20, 1922, to Sam and Rose (nee Lezak) Lukachik in Benld, IL. On December 25, 1945 she married Lewis Moss in Pocahontas, IL.
Leona was a member of First Baptist Church, Pocahontas, IL, where she served as secretary for 25 years. She was a 55 year member of the Marigold Chapter of Eastern Star. She was an avid reader, loved to spend time with her grandchildren and garden.
She is survived by 3 children, Pam (Rick) Low, Belton, TX, Jo Ann (Jay) Wegman, Kirkwood, MO, Craig (Pam) Moss, Glen Carbon, IL; 7 grandchildren, Erica (Stewart) Collis, Evan Low, Brian Wegman, M.D., Brad (Courtney) Wegman, Zane, Gabriel and Griffin Moss; 1 great-grandchild, Lachlin Collis; 2 sisters, Mary Cox, Bridgeton, MO, Olga Roesch, Cedar Hill, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Rose Lukachik; her husband, Lewis Moss; 1 sister, Irene Roesch; 1 granddaughter, Jane Catherine Wegman.
