    Leo T. Goestenkors, 85, of Pocahontas, IL died March 12, 2010, at Hitz Memorial Home, Alhambra, IL, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born November 13, 1924 at Pierron, IL to Henry Leo and Clara Josephine (nee Goestenkors)) Goestenkors, both deceased.  He married Lois (nee Mollet) Goestenkors April 25, 1945 at St. Nicholas Church, Pocahontas, IL.

    Leo was a farmer and a truck driver.  He worked for Highland Motor Service, and was owner/operator for Goestenkors Exc. and drove for G & S Freight.  He was a member of St. Nicholas Church, Pocahontas, and Robinson Cemetery Board, Pocahontas, IL.

    SURVIVED BY:  his wife, Lois Goestenkors, Pocahontas, two sons, James (Kathleen) Goestenkors, Pocahontas, IL; Thomas (Bonnie) Goestenkors, Pocahontas, IL; three daughters, Patricia (Burnell) Landmann, Pocahontas, IL; Joan (Curtis "Skip") Dickshot, Grantfork, IL; and Susan (Bryan) Kovach, Pocahontas, IL.  Twelve Grandchildren, Michael (Shannon) Landmann; Mark (Linda) Landmann; Laurie (Francis "Frenchie") Eilers; Matthew (Kristine) Landmann, all of Pocahontas;  Martin (Whitney) Landmann, Alhambra, IL; Johnny Goestenkors (and Friend, Jennifer Jenne) Pocahontas; Mindy (Keith) Choitz, Pocahontas; Christopher(Kim) Dickshot, Aviston, IL; Jodi (Brad) Neumann, Grantfork, IL; Tiffany (Cory) Munie, Pierron, IL; Travis (Natalie) Goestenkors, Pocahontas, IL; Trisha Goestenkors, Glen Carbon, IL; 15 Great Grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Goestenkors, Highland, IL; Clarence (Marlene) Goestenkors, Pocahontas, IL; Sister-in-Law, Edna Mollett, Highland, IL; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

    PRECEDED IN DEATH BY:  Parents, a daughter in infancy, Leann Goestenkors; two brothers, Cletus Goestenkors, George R. Goestenkors; sisters-in-law, Melba Iberg, Jenny Goestenkors, Marian Goestenkors; brothers-in-law, Gerald Mollet, Horace Mollet, Monroe Iberg.

    ARRANGEMENTS:  Visitation: Monday, March 15, 2010 at the Meridith Funeral Home, Pocahontas, IL from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, March 16th, from 8:00 - 9:30 a.m.

    MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL:  Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Pocahontas, IL, with Fr. David Peters officiating.  Interment, Robinson Cemetery, Pocahontas, IL.

    MEMORIALS:  May be offered to Heartland Hospice or Hitz Memorial Home.
