Leeroy Vincent “Vince” Wood, age 19, of Olney, IL passed from this life to the next on February 12, 2021 at Cardinal Glennon Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Vince was born on October 10, 2001 in Evansville, IN. His parents are Shannon (McClure) Mason and James Wood.
Vince spent much of his short life in and out of Cardinal Glennon and was a much-loved patient for many nurses, doctors and support staff over the years.
Being an avid fan of both the St. Louis Cardinals ball team and the St. Louis Blues hockey team, he was privileged to meet all the players of both teams.
He enjoyed Scooby- Doo, Blue’s Clues and especially loved having company. His smile would melt the coldest heart and he brought true joy to everyone privileged to know and love him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Norma and LeeRoy Wood and Wilma Jean and Vincent McClure.
He will be missed by his mother, Shannon, father, James, sister, Telia (Jaysen) Jarvis, brothers, James Wood, Jr and Dakota Wood, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and family friends.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Noon at Browns Cemetery, Browns, IL.
