    Larry A. “LareBear” Jones, 24, of Highland, IL, died, Sunday, January 27, 2019 at St. Louis University Hospital, with his family by his side.

    Larry was born March 3, 1994, to Larry and Kimberly (nee Kinch) Jones in Mt. Clemens, MI.

    Larry was President of the Marine/St. Jacob Jaycees and a member of the Highland Jaycees.

    Larry was a truly genuine person, and one of a kind.  He was a loving brother, son and friend, and a father figure to his sisters.  He touched a lot of lives and was loved by all.    Larry was an avid lover of all sports, especially NASCAR and dirt track racing.  He showed an extreme amount of school spirit and was a true friend to many. Larry was proud to be the first customer at Jimmy John's, when it opened in Highland.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

    Larry is survived by his parents, Kimberly & Frank Milos, Highland, IL; brother, Anthony Jones, Highland, IL; sisters, Alexis and Makenzie Milos, Highland, IL; grandparents, Arthur and Carol Kinch, Mt. Clemens, MI, and Marion Milos, Palos Hills, IL;  several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Dear Friends.

    He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Jones; brother, Nicholas Jones, in infancy; grandfather, William Milos.

    Memorials may be made to Marine/St. Jacob Jaycees.

    Visitation: Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm, at Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.

    Funeral Service: Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 2:00 pm, Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, IL.

    Interment: at a Later Date, White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, MI.

    Dear Kim and family..Christian and I are so very sorry for your loss. I have vivid memories of Larry and Christian attending Peace Lutheran together. God has your son in the palm of his hands. Imagine the great reunion Larry is having with his Dad. Please know we pray for comfort for you and your family.

    I’ve know you since the day you entered this world!!!
    It was a pleasure watching you grow up and flourish into one of the most, gentlest, thoughtful, caring human being I think I’ve ever met!!
    I was not aware of the how many lives you have touched and or made better until I started reading the memories from all your friends!!
    Of course you had your trials and tribulations, but don’t we all!! I think maybe that was the you expressed yourself good or bad, better to let it all out then hold it in. You were definitely a model brother to Lexi and Kitty, no matter what you were there for them in so many ways. I could go on but I think I’ve just touched the surface.

    You are a #1 fan.

    Sure, you loved your sports teams but that’s not what I’m talking about. Talking about being a genuine fan and supporter of your people.

    Fans encourage and Larry few people put curage into others the way you did.

    True fans are there for the ups and downs.
    (Maybe being a Michigan sports fan taught you this.) We could be down but never out. Win or lose with you we never lost. With you doing nothing often lead to the very best of something. There is no one else I’d rather share a Friday night at Walmart with! Your enthusiasm left its mark on me in a way I will never forget.

    Here is is to the time spent looking up, Although, now I know you are looking down from heaven.

    I was very saddened to hear about your passing. You brought nothing but joy and smiles to all who knew you. I appreciated your passion for our teams and all the support you showed me during your high school years. You will be missed.

    When we first met Larry and the family, he was just a little boy, kind, happy go lucky and funny. He never changed. He will be deeply missed by so many! God grant all of us His strength and remind us of happy memories. Love you!!

    Larry was blast to have in the classroom. One of the things that made him so special was that he was the same guy every day. I loved that he always came to class in a jovial mood.

    He was also one of the few students I’ve taught over the years born with the weight of being a Detroit Lions fan. He seemed to have learned early that such fandom would only result in frustration but he maintained his loyalty. I miss the many conversations we had about the team.

    My sincerest condolences go out to the family and friends of Larry. He will be forever missed.
