Lanny F. Boyer, 75, of Highland, IL died Friday, January 12, 2018 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL.
Lanny was born February 12, 1942, to Harold and Bernice (nee Koch) Boyer, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Highland, IL. On September 12, 1966, he married Myrna Wiese in Carlyle, IL.
He worked at Basler Electric for over 40 years, retiring as Regional Manager. He was a member of EvUCC of Highland. Lanny’s dedication to his family and his job knew no bounds. He was a sports enthusiast, especially at his kids and grandkids sporting events. He liked to play golf, pitch horseshoes and camp. Lanny enjoyed being around his family, especially his grandchildren, grand-dogs, and grand-cat. He liked country music, played in Charlie Barnes band back in the day, and he loved to play cards.
He is survived by his wife, Myrna Boyer, Highland, IL; children, Janelle (Duane) Clarke, Highland, IL, Jill (Timothy) Reaka, Highland, IL, Jason (Sandi) Boyer, Mills River, NC; grandchildren, Mason, Madison and Max Clarke, and Hudson Boyer; many cousins.
Memorials may be made to: The Alzheimer's Association, Highland Animal Shelter, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Bernice Boyer.
